Asia Day 4: Beijing

7/19/12

Woke up super early, since we have the commute from Seoul to Incheon, and security to go through. *  *
Danie's bitchface early in the morning.

Danie's scary happy face early in the morning.

Incheon Airport~

After 1 1/2 hours we landed in Beijing.

More pics of our hotel~

The bed Danie and I shared. We got pandas! So cute~

So cute ; ;

Very cloudy that day

 Chocolate! It tasted really good ; ; I completely forgot about how bad Chinese chocolate was until after it was in my mouth- but luckily it tasted good. The last time I ate Chinese chocolate I spit it out as soon as it hit my tongue.

Danie being a lazy ass with her panda.

We had to change rooms as there was something with the room we had = = After that, we went to go eat.

Lots of food pics because it was so good ; ;

My sister and I ate a lot, so we were full, but my parents wanted to eat Chinese food, so we went to Oriental Plaza (The Grand Hyatt Beijing is connected to it).

 I have to admit it wasn't very fun walking around there- it's a giant mall with tons of people, but no air conditioning (the shops have air conditioning, but the actual building? Nope. = =) It's especially hot and crowded in the food court

Danie playing around with her phone. You actually aren't allowed to take pictures, but I didn't see the sign until later. ><

Tried some ba pao. This one has a very distinctive ginger taste, which I'm not fond of. Also no one had spoons- everyone just drank their soup from the bowl. I wanted a spoon so I could drink the soup from the ba pao, but. ; ;

More pictures of our pretty hotel!

 Danie being weird.
 I don't even know what she's doing.

 What we came back to! They clean the rooms twice a day \o/ Once is enough imo.

The pool was really nice!

After swimming a bit, we went back, and showered.

First taste of BreadTalk after 2 years ; ; I really miss it.

Sushi and Samgyeopsal + EOTD

Sorry for not posting for the past few days- yesterday I was resting, and the day before that I slept for 17 hours straight. There will (most likely) be an Asia post tomorrow, so please watch out for that. ^^

On Friday, we went to D.C. (yet again), visited the Capitol and then went out to eat at Union Station.
Excuse the yellow lighting- I did my best to try and correct it.

I also got a pretzel- despite it being 90+ degrees.

The next day we went out for samgyeopsal
 The thinly sliced one is my favorite- the normal samgeyopsal isn't very good.
The samgyeopsal isn't seasoned, so you have to dip it into one of these two- I love the one on the left and dislike the one on the right.

 More food pictures. I really like taking pictures of food, if you haven't noticed.

 EOTD

I decided to do another test drive with my K-palette liner. I thought that since I do live in a drier climate than Indonesia (not by much, though), it was unfair to test it there. But it still disappointed me- I had even layered it with a bit of my Tony Moly backstage liner and it still flaked off and I had to reapply after only 2 hours.

Products used. L-R: Tony Moly Backstage gel eyeliner in #1 Black; Kate Crystallise quartz eyeshadow in BR-1, Two faced Shadow Insurance, Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus, K-palette 24h liquid liner.

Colors used

 Used the light brown color all over the lid

And the yellow off-white color in the inner corners.

Also tested this, and I really like it so far! Pigmented, and I only need to dab my finger in their once to get a nice flush.

That's all for now~
