Whoops

It's been... a while.

I have a number of excuses and reasons as always. Life, school, etc. I know I probably make one post per year, but it is nice to have this blog to come back to.

What have I done in 2015 and so far in 2016?

(this blog at this point is pretty much for my own reference to look back on but is anyone reading this because I feel awkward talking to someone that probably isn't there)

In my previous post, I mentioned I signed up for a course outside of school. Which was one of the reasons I had pretty much no life. Which I don't mind, I don't care about going out and partying (I also don't have any parties to go to - totally fine with that too), but I do mind studying constantly - that can grate on the nerves. Twice a week for almost three hours (luckily my professor almost always dismissed us early) doesn't sound too bad right? Wrong. I took a bus from school and from there I went to the community college to do the course and then I had to commute home and do work for school and that class.

Homework wasn't mandatory which was a blessing - but I did a good chunk of it anyways because I had to practice.

It was a good peek into what my future holds, and my professor was a good teacher.

I also took my first AP Exam in 2015 which was... interesting. And then summer happened.

In July I went to Woods Hole to learn more about marine biology, oceanography, etc. I don't know when I will collect those pictures together, but I will try and do so some... time... (I make no promises because I have no idea what will happen in the next few weeks).

I did nothing productive that summer pretty much and I was totally fine with that.

Come this school year and I took up five AP classes. Not as bad as I thought, honestly. I'm about two weeks after exams and I'm pretty done with everything though. I'm still reeling from the after effects of missing a week and one day of school. I'm still trying to reorient myself back into my schedule.

Because 5 out of 7 my classes are APs, I'm pretty much free right now. I still have some more standardized testing to do, but I'm almost in the clear... kind of. I have summer classes for a month from the end of June to the end of July, and then straight to Asia, and then straight to senior year and college applications.

I always think I can't do it and I can't keep up but I just need to take it one step at a time.

I got a new camera this past Christmas and I've been playing around with it

Here's one of the pictures I took (my friend let me use her as a model).

There are more, but I don't want to post her full on face on the internet.

and here is another - I love taking pictures of food.

This camera was a little difficult for me to use, but it's relatively simple, and takes really great photos.

Also, the second reason why I have no life

Waffle!
She looks quite different from when the pictures in the previous post, but it's the same dog... kind of. Her personality is so different from when we first got her. But she still shows how smart she is (with the occasional dumb moment).

This past year has been a wild ride with Waffle. It's been really difficult, but I have learned a lot in our first year together.

There was a hugeee snowstorm on the east coast and we were snowed in for quite some time. I was so sore from shoveling. No school for over a week I think, and midterms were cancelled (the saving grace of my GPA). Waffle really loved the snow

Waffle is light so she didn't really sink down into the snow... I'm 5'2 and the snow went up pretty high on me... it was a pain to navigate through.

I will see if I can get another post this year lol. Hopefully one before I leave for summer classes.

How are you guys doing?
